kristaphillips Last night I was laying in bed, and I was talking to Scott about my blog post the other day. I was tired and frustrated and just completely done.
I found out that I’d semi-finaled in a writers contest yesterday, and while I was excited, it fell limp given Annabelle’s status. I almost didn’t care. I just wanted Annabelle well and HOME.
I told my husband last night that I was done. I was laying in the middle of the road (see my last blog post) and just waiting for a car to run over me because I couldn’t go any longer. I was tried and couldn’t make it to the next curve.
A few hours later, at 4 a.m., we got our heart call!!!!!!
As long as everything stays on course, Annabelle should roll into the OR at noon today. They say it is a really GOOD heart for her. There are still complications that could arise that could make this a no-go, but for now, we are believing this is IT. But preliminary tests are REALLY good!
God knows when we are done. And when we lay in the middle of the road, give out, that’s when he carries us around the next curve to our destination.
GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!

Wow…so many of us have been waiting for this post. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. I am also saying a prayer for the family that lost their little baby that will be giving Annabelle a new heart. God is good!
I was NOT expecting this post when I woke up! So happy for your family – mine will be praying ALL DAY for you, your surgical team, and of course, Annabelle.
Praying for Annabelle, for your family, for all of the doctors and nurses that will be taking care of her. Praying for wisdom and discernment for the team taking care of her, peace for you as a family and healing for sweet Annabelle. (((hugs))) This is such exciting news!!!

I've never met you and don't know you but Candace Calvert posted your good news on Facebook and I had to stop by. I am so excited for you and your beautiful baby girl!! This is such a fantastic time for all, yet very scary. I will pray for all of you, including the family who had to say goodbye to someone. In my former career, I worked as a RN who was blessed to prepare these little ones for their "new lives" once we got the call. I miss that experience and the joy that comes from it. Please know that you have my prayers for strength, courage, and endurance in the days to come.
